WWE Night of Champions ist der direkte Ableger von WWE Vengeance. Erstmals fand man diesen Pay Per View im Jahre 2001 auf dem Pay Per View Kalender der WWE. 2007 fand WWE Vengeance noch unter dem Motto „Night of Champions“ statt, ehe man im Jahr darauf den Namen entgültig übernahm.
